Recently, AGY (a global leader in manufacturing fiberglass materials) based out of Huntingdon, Pa, contracted Windswept to plan their 10th Anniversary Celebration. The event was held at their production facility in Huntingdon, Pa on October 11, 2008.

Being short on time, AGY’s event staff elected to have Windswept plan a majority of the event. By providing us with the event details such as, expected attendance, event time, date, budget, and special requests, we were able to provide them with an advanced CADD drawing and virtual reality video of possible tenting/table layouts to accommodate the expected number of guests in attendance. Included in the layout and planning were possible catering choices and set up, and suggested entertainment and amusements for the guests. AGY approved our recommendations and we continued organizing their event.

For the tented area we chose to use a large flower design, comprised of our large High Peak Marquee tents and 8’ banquet tables for the seating areas. 20’ x 40’ tents were utilized for the buffet and children’s areas and 20’ x 20’ tents for the Bingo and Band areas. The layout was so beautiful it was mistaken for an extremely large wedding by passer byes.

For food preparation, AGY chose our recommended Picnic/Barbecue option. We provided a delicious meal of Pulled Pork Barbecue, Boneless Ribs, Barbecued Chicken Breasts and thighs, Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Country Coleslaw, Macaroni & Cheese, and Baked Beans. The food was served buffet style with two separate buffets and two servers to maximize speed.

For the children, we selected a few tried and true inflatable rides such as our 33’ tall Titanic slide, our large Chaos Obstacle Course, and our new Whacky World Obstacle Course. We also provided Cotton Candy, fresh Popcorn, Spin Art Frisbees, Airbrush Tattoos, and Caricature drawings done on custom AGY 10th Anniversary paper.

For the adults and older children, Windswept provided musical entertainment from one of its many country rock bands. We also provided a large Bingo tent, complete with staff and prizes.

Finally, Windswept also provided all of the power for the event, as well as, air-conditioned portable restrooms facilities, trash cans, table covers, promotional posters, and operations personnel to clear tables and remove trash.
